Take Me To Post Comment Form Today, I'll be writing about our events and gallery features of our Community section. Events are what they sound like.  Anyone that is a registered user on the site can post an event that you want people to know about. This can be school events, concerts, sporting events, church fundraisers, anything. The events from our Breakfast Briefings section of the print edition are posted in the Event calendar, as well, but this is a community calendar. Please make it yours!All events posted on the calendar are posted throughout the website, on all of our news pages, as well. If you see a section that says "Calendar," this is the community calendar. The calendar shows only the events for that day, but if you want search for more events, or find out whats going on a specific day, it really very simple. You can either click on that day's date in the calendar, or follow the "View more Events" link.The Gallery feature is also great way to post information or news about events or happenings in the community. Gallery allows you to post pictures of your event or your child's school play or party. This lets other community members see what's going on in Great Bend. We will be holding contests throughout the year for photos. You may see a message that tells you about contest to find the best Halloween costume picture (coming soon) or school sports photo or best snowman picture. We will select a winner and a few honorable mentions and publish those pictures in the print edition of the Great Bend Tribune!
