Personal injury claim can be made only if the accident which harmed you was entirely not your fault but negligence of any other person or authority. Analyse your loss if it's significant enough then you must make a claim for compensation. It is not recommended to claim minor scratches as a result of an accident. If your injuries sustained for more than two weeks and you stayed more than 14 days out of your job then you are eligible to make a claim. If you have suffered a lot from your injuries then you must inform about your accident and injury to the responsible person, driver, employer or authority. You can only make a claim within 3 years after the accident. So, make your claim soon after becoming aware of your injury and other losses.
